MikeDrastic Prepares 1st Full Length Release on 10/11/12
Ladies and gentlemen, MikeDrastic has re-entered the building. Signed as the second artist to join the up and coming Los Angeles label Itchy Metal Entertainment, his current assembly is indeed a labor of love grouped with high anticipation.
But don’t underestimate the calm before the storm- Drastic’s been busy. Working across two Northwest studios (Remedy Recording and Undercaste) and staying recent on the scene through a number of public performances including a late summer opening for legendary rapper Everlast at Seattle’s Jazz Bones, the Kitsap County native secures a well known name amongst the WA State HipHop scene (hence the quote, “Everybody Knows MikeDrastic”).
Mike sums up the journey to releasing his debut album with, “I didn’t want to rush the creative process and it was a blessing to be able to work without the burden of a constant deadline. At the same time, I know the fans have been patient and anxious, so I’m proud to announce that we have the first album ready for the masses”.
The self-titled LP consists of 11 songs that give a sampling of his musical diversity and style. Always known for his signature rough edged growl, he backs his lyrical delivery and singing with a variety of instrumentation. Mike focused on preserving his unique character on this project, reinforcing that he is capable of getting on any track and bringing an “MD” vibe to it.
