HOLOD (ХОЛОД)
About HOLOD (ХОЛОД):
From the town of Voronezh, Russia comes a five man force known to their fans as HOLOD (ХОЛОД). With a fresh formation launched in November 2008, the group embarked on a new program unleashing their metal-core style onto Russia’s ever-growing metal scene.
In September, 2009 Holod debuted their first release – an EP “V kazdom iz nas” and quickly followed-up in 2010 with the single “Iuda”. In May of the same year “Holod” won the final round of Russia’s Regional “Alternative Is…” festival, sharing stage with such commands as Stigmata, Psiheja and Tracktor.
In addition to their festival accomplishment, Holod has been the supporting act for other groups such as Perimeter, 7000$, ТКН, Ease of Disgust, Human Device, Timequake, Sarah where is my tea, Undermorphine, and Anamnesis.
In spring of 2011 Holod released their first full length album “Nachalo” with the intention to open new sides of the band’s creativity, expand their presence beyond borders and broaden the group’s stylings.
“Being able to take Itchy Metal into Russia through our new relationship with Holod is another huge milestone for the label,” comments Ed Fassio, CEO of IME Records. “What began as a vision to build a strong community of like-minded artists dedicated to endorsing the better-together mentality is now further extended by Holod’s addition to our global family. We’re very optimistic about the future success with this group and we’ll be releasing the first Domestic-US release of their Super-Single “Merilin” in the coming weeks. Everyone’s in for a real treat.”
