Winner of Battle of the Bands Los Angeles (August 2010) beating out 70 other bands, BAZERK brilliantly blends rap, metal, and funk with lyrical melodies and a hard hitting rhythm section.
The band has performed all over California and the Pacific NW at venues that include The Viper Room, The Highlands, The Gig, The Joint, The Rhythm Lounge and more. Tours have included Budfest, Pepsi Smash, LA Punk Fest, Hip-Hop Tour Nation, LA Underground, Hollywood Music Fest, El Sereno Street Fest, and LA4Real Music Fest.
BAZERK has appeared on live radio shows at KPFK, KDAY, KTLH, KCRW, UCLA Radio and Extreme TV. The group has also shared stage with the Black Eyed Peas, Fishbone, George Clinton, Ludacris, Robin Thicke, Bad Brains, One Side Zero, De La Soul, 1AD7, Bloodsugar, Year of the Dragon, Herbal Influence, Sleepy Brown and has jammed at a Prince birthday bash.
BAZERK’s unique sound, fast-paced rhythm, and lyrical madness has been compared to early Red Hot Chili Peppers, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, RATM, Living Colour, Outkast, Busta Rhymes and Public Enemy.

The band hails from sunny Los Angeles, CA with frontman and creator Dewayne Phelps aka “Zookeynee the Lyrical Terror”, guitarist “Xsedra Sic Riff”, “Low Note Tim Shireman” on bass, FSablan aka “Cut Throat” and the “Funky Asian Drummer” known as Shawn Tseng.
